I have over 20 years experience working in health and community services; three years of which includes working within NHS Primary Care Mental Health Services (IAPT/Talking Therapies) as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with patients struggling with depression & low mood, anxiety & stress, panic attacks, sleep problems, phobias, OCD and low self-esteem.
In addition to my Clinical Hypnotherapy practice, I currently work part-time as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within both a Chronic Pain Service and a Work-based Talking Therapies Service. These roles involve delivering brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Pain Management Programmes to patients with common mental health problems and chronic pain conditions.
I have four years previous experience employed as a Lifestyle Coach/Health Trainer delivering health behaviour-change and healthy-living programmes to clients struggling with a wide range of physical/long-term health conditions, weight loss issues and who want to stop smoking and reduce alcohol consumption.
This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of how physical and mental health conditions can have a negative impact on your everyday life and I am committed to helping you make positive, long-term changes to improve your health and well-being.
